She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kirkpatrick and Hazel Kirkpatrick; her husband Rev. Larry Young; her daughter Priscilla West; her granddaughter Heather Bell; and her siblings, Alvin, Harry, Benjamin "Bud" Kirkpatrick and Jessie Kirkpatrick.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Young (Mark Crawford) and Melissa Buckner (Matthew Anderson); her grandchildren, Alex Russ (Lily), Aaron Russ, Sierra Buckner, Teyha Bell and Faith Crawford; her great grandchildren, Reagan Russ, Emma, Owen Russ, Liza and Jerry Basham; and her close friend William Ramey.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Meadow Fork Freewill Baptist Church (2919 Meadow Fork Rd, Hot Springs, NC 28743). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
