He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge Carney and Leona Moore Carney; his granddaughter Alexandria Buff; and his siblings, Winona C. "Bunny" Jarman, Gordon Cole and Carol Cole.
He is survived by: his daughter Janie Carney of Hubert; his granddaughter Bridgette Wickenheiser (Eric); his great grandchild JT Wickenheiser of Charlotte; and his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Cole of Swansboro, Billy Jarman of Haleyville, AL, Benny Jarman (Linda) of Summerville, SC and Debbie Jarman of Charleston, SC.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro Chapel (407 Old Hammock Rd, Swansboro, NC 28584). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
