Harold Ray Sturgill Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 24, 2025, at the age of 92, Harold Ray Sturgill of Hudson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sturgill and Opal Reeves Sturgill; his siblings, Gene Sturgill and Shirley Halterman; and his grandchildren, Steven Lingle and Ruby Ann Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Hall Sturgill; his daughters, Dianna Baker (Ben), Patricia Routh (Donald) and Barbara Sams (Tracy); his sister Marie Williamson; his grandchildren, Gary Sturgill (Anna), Carrie Lingle, Brandon Lingle, Heather Lowman (John), Whitney Hall (Michael), Amy Daves (Darren), Lance Richardson (Brianna), Natasha Walker (Josh), Chelsea Spears, Kirsten Baker (Noah) and Elijah Baker; and his sister-in-law Louise Clemons. He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Service (106 S Main St, Granite Falls, NC 28630).
