He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Cottrell and Louise Cottrell; his wife Betty Cottrell; his children, John Cottrell (Margo) and Debbie Cottrell; and his grandchildren, Kasey, Anthony and Grace.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home (522 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645).
