He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wilcox and Mattie Wilcox; his daughter Donna Kay Wilcox; his granddaughter Denise Ricci; his great grandchildren, Alexus Phillips and Christian Ricci; and his siblings, Lester, Grant, Eller, Bob Wilcox, Jean Wilcox, Faye Wilcox and Evon Trivette.
He is survived by: his close friend Shirley Wagoner; and his children, Dennis Wilcox (Debbie) of Hudson, Dallas Wilcox (Dawn) of Lenoir, Dean Wilcox (Kathy) of Lenoir, Vanessa Holtsclaw of Hudson and Vivian Wilcox (Rodney Samson) of Lenoir. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Pendry's Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
