With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Eloise Sherrill Setzer of Hudson, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 11, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George William Sherrill (Bill) and Theresa Lee Throneburg Sherrill. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Clinton Setzer Jr. (Joe), William Kohn Setzer (Bill), Susan Setzer Hassman and Eric Sherrill Setzer; and her siblings, Kohn Sherrill, Myra Sherrill Hudson, Martha Sherrill Price, Dennis Sherrill and Hope Sherrill Kizer. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be sent to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative care, 526 Robbinswood Place, Hudson , NC, 28638 A private burial service will be held after the service.
