She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Hope and Myrtle Hope; and her sister Mary Hope Farlow. She is survived by: her husband Donald Austin; her daughter Hope Austin Laingen; her son-in-law Jim of Marshall, Virginia.; her grandsons, William Laingen (Stephanie) of Tucson, Arizona and Austin Laingen of Richmond; her daughter Bonnie Laingen of Winston-Salem; her sister Mildred Barnett (Jim) of Queenstown; and her brother-in-law Colon Farlow of Sophia.
