He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivery Dermont Day and Susan Campbell Day; his brother David Day; and his nephew Mason Triplet. He is survived by: his wife Donna Sides Day; his son Tyler Shew (Morgan) of Collettesiville; his grandchildren, Aiden Kindley, Nickolas Shew, Delaney Shew and Waylon Triplet; his brother Jerome Day of Lenoir; his sisters-in-law, Lisa Sides of Morganton, Jan Peterson of Conover and Kim Sides of Morganton; Teresa Pritchard and Debbie Bumgarner.
