He was predeceased by: his parents, Plato Whisnant and Helen Montgomery Whisnant; his wife Linda Whisnant; and his brothers, Roger Whisnant and Hubert Tanner.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Busha (Ronnie); his brothers, Michael Whisnant (Linda) and Ronald Whisnant (Tracey); his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Tanner and Novella Whisnant; and his friend Cohen Elgin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
