She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Klein and Anna Klein; her sister Edith; and her brother-in-law Paul Kies. She is survived by: her husband Ewald Kies; her children, John (Ahmed), Kristy (Daniel) and Monika (Howard); her grandchildren, Mike (Laura), Renate, Philip (Shelby), Joshua (Sanela), Brian (Claire) and Ben (Shelby); her great grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, Charlotte, Karolina, James Bodhi, Penelope, Carter, Connor and Eliza; her son Robert P. Kies; and her grandson Daniel E. Neal.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The National MS Society in honor of Oma's memory.
