He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Jay" Phillips and Elizabeth "Lib" Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Patti; and his brothers, Perry and Russell.
A reception was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Raymer-Kepner Chapel (16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078).
