He is survived by: his daughter Gerri Ann Shaw (Clint); his granddaughter Judith Shaw (Dave); his great grandchild McKinna; and his siblings, Richard Smith (Nancy), Jim Smith (Vera) and Sarah Rose Yandle.
Jerry Edward Smith, 88 years old, surrendered to his battle with Parkinson's on July 23, 2025 at University Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.
