We bid farewell to Kathleen McAfee of Huntersville, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 25, 2025 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her son Robert G. McAfee; her grandchildren, Kiana Tiamson, Adam Johnson, Hope McAfee, Katelyn Tiamson, Trey McAfee, Eric Johnson and Evan Johnson; her parents, Harold Dougherty and Phyllis Dougherty (Burgett); and her siblings, Peter Dougherty (Barb), Cheryl Bryar (Bill), Kevin Dougherty, Pam Arrigenna (Peter), John, Jim, Jerry, Mary-Jane, Marcia and Karen.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald "Ron" E. McAfee, Sr.; and her children, Ronald McAfee (Sharon), Kathleen Kroeger (Steve) and Karon Fontaine (Bill). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the James Funeral Home (10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078). A prayer will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Mark Catholic Church (14740 Stumptown Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078-9569). A reception will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the James Funeral Home (10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078).
