It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kristi Smith (Huntersville, North Carolina), born in Mooresville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Jimmy Bumgarner Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Neal Smith; her daughters, Malea and Keeley Smith; her mother Sharyon Bumgarner; her brothers, Jamey (Michele Bumgarner) and Jeremy (Angie Bumgarner); her niece Anna Carney; her nephews, Caleb Bumgarner, Adam Bumgarner and Thomas Caldwell; her mother-in-law Mary Lee Smith; her siblings-in-law, Larry, Lee Caldwell, Lysa Deaton-Smith and Alex Smith; and her father-in-law Newton Smith.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Kepner Funeral Home (16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Storyhill Church (490 S Main St, Davidson, NC 28036). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at the Mimosa Cemetery (518 South St, Davidson, NC 28036).
