She is survived by: her brother Larry Robinson; her daughters, Lori Pelham (Hanlin) and Lisa Hanlin; her son-in-law Randy Pelham; her grandchildren, Jon Pelham, Gianna Pelham, Erin Leplatt (Pelham) and Ashley Cavalier (Pelham); her great grandchildren, Kerrington, Addison and Kennedy Cavalier; her niece Dorothy Hooper; and her nephews, Michael and Larry Robinson.

Betty Ringley wrote a sympathy message

“Lydia and I grew up together in Abingdon, VA. We swam at the hospital pool when we were 10 or 11 or 12 years old, turning flips, standing on our hands, and getting sun burned at the same time. Then Lydia and I played two piano duets when we were teen agers; I remember two titles Malaguena and Andalucia. She was a talented pianist and a great singer. I believe she sang alto and harmonized well. She also played bells in the William King High School band. Outstanding UVA nurse!”
