She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Dale and Martha "Lib" Elizabeth Hendrick Boyer; her husband Robert "Bob" Eugene Barnes; her stepfather Julius Welms; her sister Ruth Steenburg; and her siblings-in-law, William "Bill" Barnes and Barbara Booher.

She is survived by: her child Kelly Renee Barnes Karns; her siblings, Marian Mahoney, Marti Chasler (Colin), Ron Boyer and Bob Boyer (Leslie); and her sisters-in-law, Suzanne Hores (Edward) and Nancy Barnes. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, many special cousins and friends.

Memorial contributions can be directed to the college fund for her grandson, Nolan Karns, in care of the family.
