With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Douglas Barbee of Huntersville, North Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on April 7, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Charles G. Barbee and Leara Bridges Barbee; his wife Evelyn Barbee; his daughters, Sherane Bunting and Rashida Barbee; his grandchildren, Rashawn Barbee Sr., Saadiq Coakley, Samarra Coakley, Suraya Bunting, Jeremiah Halloway and Zoey Halloway; his great grandchild Rashawn Barbee Jr.; and his siblings, Pearl Little, Mona Gatlin, Trenace Watkins, Gwendolyn Douglas, Shawn Barbee and Anthony Barbee.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the New Life Baptist Church (1281 Biscayne Dr, Concord, NC 28027). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 3:55 PM and at 4:00 PM at the same location. Due to Covid-19, masks are appreciated if worn in all services.
