Wanda leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Wanda’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her parent Reverend S. Duard Baker. She is survived by: her sons, Nelson R Gatton (Julie) of Stanley and C. Scott Gatton (Laura) of Fuquay-Varina; her brother D. Ravon "Von" Baker (Libby) of Salisbury; and her former husband Edwin R. Gatton of McLeansville. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home (16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Novant Huntersville Medical Center or the Cancer Center Wellness Fund, where Wanda received extraordinary medical care and compassion.
