It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nancy Jean Hamby Norris of Icard, North Carolina, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hamby and Florence Fortner Hamby; and her sons, Grayling Todd Coffey and Talmadge Gaston Coffey. She is survived by: her daughter Kelly Testerman (Tracy); her granddaughter Jessica Rushing (Devane Rushing); and her great grandchildren, Isaac, Noah, Kahleah, Elijah and Piper Rushing.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Granite Funeral Service (106 S Main St, Granite Falls, NC 28630). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
