He is survived by: his wife Esther Oates; his stepchildren, Denise Madrazo, Trish Hobbs and Jerry Roach; his grandchildren, Destiny Roach, Kyrsten Lane, Kyle Lane and Kayla Shortsleeve; and his sister Diane Walton.
