He was predeceased by: his parents, James Vanderhoof and Jean Griffiths Vanderhoof; and his brother Steven Vanderhoof. He is survived by: his wife Bette Jean Smith Vanderhoof; his children, David Vanderhoof, Jr. (Kari) of Phoenix, AZ, Ken Vanderhoof (Lisa) of Parsippany, NJ and Allison Cheek (Brian) of Weddington; his grandsons, Nathan Vanderhoof, Zachary Vanderhoof, Jordan Vanderhoof (Tara) and Lucas Cheek; his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Ezra, William and Kathleen Vanderhoof; his sister Susan Watson (Scott); and his pets, Benji, Chloe, Oreo and Kayah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
