With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Desta Marie Baker (Indian Trail, North Carolina), born in Miami, Florida, who passed away on October 31, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Lora Belle Fray Vandiver; her grandson Wyatt Richmeier; and her brother Baxton Vandiver. She is survived by: her husband Dewey Allen Baker; her children, Sharon Bancroft (Gary), Laura Richmeier and John Baker (Janet); her grandchildren, Wesley Richmeier, Rachel Baker, David Baker, Justin Bancroft and Joshua Bancroft; and her brother E. B. Vandiver III.
