He is survived by: his wife Betty Helms; his brother Ray Helms of Monroe, NC; his daughter Helen Starnes of Indian Trail, NC; his granddaughters, Betty Johnson (Bobby) of Belmont, NC and Crystale Craig of Belmont, NC; and his great grandchildren, Jason, Fatback and Buzzard.
