We are sad to announce that, on September 7, 2021, at the age of 89, James Washington Simpson of Indian Trail, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Simpson and Delphia Deese Simpson; and his siblings, Ira Simpson (Rachel), Marie Walters (Bill), Janie Baucom (Bill), Monty Mills and Philip Simpson.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Pressley Simpson; his children, Jim Simpson (Vivian), Terry Simpson (Lisa) and Ronda Mullis (Rodney); his grandchildren, Tracy Strawn (Josh), Kenneth Simpson (Mandy), Heather Kindley (Bryan), Laura Hill (Travis), Brian Simpson, Derrick Simpson, Ashley Simpson, Hannah Simpson and Ryan Blackwelder (Nicole); and his siblings, Libby Williams (Curtis), Darrell Simpson (Mary), Deanie Carter, Bruce Simpson (Linda), Sandy Baucom and Van Simpson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made out to First Baptist Church of Indian Trail.
