He was predeceased by : his parents, John Erving and Evelyn Erving (Vandenberg); his son John L. Erving Jr.; and his brother James. He is survived by : his children, Tammi (Tim), Terri and Tom (Kirsten); his grandchildren, BJ, Madison and Catelyn; and his great grandchild Johnny.
