She was predeceased by: her father Charlie Oscar Linker; her husband Troy R. Helms; her mother Beatrice Medice Linker Freeman; her stepfather J. E. Freeman; and her sisters, Freida Stegall of Lancaster and Mae Atchley of Monroe.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Ray Helms (Connie Helms) of Johnson City and Sandra Hartis of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Kathryn Hartis of Indian Trail, Kari Hartis of Charlotte, Christy Riddle (Russell Riddle) of Hampton and Tony Helms (Wendy Helms) of Mount Carmel, Tennessee..
