It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Boyce Earnhardt of Indian Trail, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on May 31, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Turner Earnhardt Sr. and Anabelle Fowler Earnhardt; and his siblings, Bob Earnhardt, Faye Ivey and Barbara McCallum.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Jean" Earnhardt; his daughters, Patty Earnhardt Hughes (John Hughes) and Elaine Earnhardt Potter (Gary Potter); and his great grandchildren, Jacob Hughes, Ethan Hughes, Elizabeth Hamilton (Carlton Hamilton), Ben Potter (Brittany Potter) and Matt Potter (Emily Potter).

Memorials to be made to the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in honor of Rhonda Long Stewart and her family on the mission field in India.
