She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Deese; her father Charles Benton; and her brother-in-law Mark Fowler. She is survived by: her children, Bobby Deese (Gabby) and Brooke Schulz (Brian); her grandchildren, Oliver, Liam, Caroline and Emma; her mother Ellen Benton; and her siblings, Chuck Benton (Wendy) and Carmen Fowler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gordon Funeral Chapel (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
