She was predeceased by: her parents, Orion Owen Shorter and Elsie Price Shorter; her husband Charles D. Bowman; and her sister Edith Stalnaker. She is survived by: her daughter Jamie York (Gary Leon York, Jr.); her sister LaRue Helen Mathena of Crossville, TN; and her pet Missy. She is also survived by five nephews, one niece.
