He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Lovelace and Sarah Jane White Lovelace; and his siblings, Mary France, Paul Lovelace and Bobby Lovelace.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Stiles Lovelace; his stepchildren, Richard Rochester (Janet) of Mooresville, Boyce Moses (Hayley) of Vale and Cynthia Morehead (Michael) of Connelly Springs; his sister Shirley Rodgers of Maiden; his stepgrandchildren, Anthony Rochester, Dustin Rochester, Elizabeth Rochester, Matthew Rochester, Heather Morehead, Chris Slazas and Wesley Morehead; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Bradlee Allman, Conor Morehead, Dashawn Rochester and Haylee Allman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Victory Life Church (1495 N Aspen St, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
