He is survived by: his daughter Shay Machell Lay of Belmont; his brother Robert Gary; his sister-in-law Kathy Lay of Charlotte; his granddaughters, Keesha Abarca Lloyd (Alex) of Williamsfield, OH and Emily Brendalynn Kathryn Lay (Chris Donithan) of Newport News, VA; his great grandchildren, Tristan, Aeris, Radley and Everlee Lloyd; his granddaughter Azera Mae Donathan; his nephew Bobby Lay, Jr.; and his niece Julie Devinney.
