She was predeceased by: her parents, Bleakadee Franklin and Cecil Franklin. She is survived by: her husband James Brooks; her children, Heather Sneed (Jarrett) and Josh Brooks (Olivia); her grandchildren, Grayson Sneed, Liam Sneed, Knox Sneed, Grady Brooks and Henry Brooks; and her brothers, Dick Franklin (Maria) and Greg Franklin (Theresa). She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779).
