He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Levi Burgess. He is survived by: his mother Joan Barnes Burgess; his brother Gene Burgess (Patricia); his niece Brittany Burgess Edwards (Bryan); his great-niece Macie Edwards; his great-nephews, Jakob and Tate Edwards; and his cousins, Bobby Ferguson (Lydia), Joan Fitzwater (Lee) and Robin Cobb. He is also survived by his extended family and many friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Conway Cemetery (229 N Church St, Jackson, NC 27820).
