We are sad to announce that on April 4, 2024, at the age of 85, Mable Harris of Jackson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Collie; her son John Washington; and her siblings, Louise Washington, James Washington, Willie Washington, Elizabeth Boyd, Rebecca Washington, Lucille Washington and William Washington.

She is survived by : her children, Coley Harris, Jr. (Evelyn) of Durham, Randy Harris (Evelyn) of Jackson, Michael Harris (Debbie) of Ahoskie, Sylvia Harris of Jackson and Joyce Harris of Jackson; and her sister Alee Ponton of Jackson. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church (511 Atherton St, Jackson, NC 27845). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at the Mount Hope Baptist Church Cemetery (511 Atherton St, Jackson, NC 27845).
