He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Madeline Hudson; his children, Frederick Stephens (Paula) of Fayetteville, NC, Kim Esdaille of Lutz, FL, Michael Stephens (Michelle) of Japan, Charity Terry (Victor) of Frederick, MD, Emmanuel Stephens of Durham, NC, Roy Hudson of Concord, NC, Adric Hudson of Durham, NC, Octavian Hudson of Greensboro, NC, Jordan Hudson of Jacksonville, NC and Joy McMillan Cheek of Durham, NC; and his sister Jocelyn Bryant (Charles) of Chattanooga, TN. He was also cherished by 27 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Georgetown (153 Broadhurst Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
