He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Brown and Agnes Brown; his siblings, Marcia Cockram and Tony Brown; and his uncle Reid Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Brown; his daughter Dehia Carter (Ricky) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Gabriella, Christian (Brianna), Elijah, Lyla and Lilliana Carter; and his sisters, Karen Hinson of Elkin, NC and Chrissie Brown of Wilkesboro, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
