Carol Riggs Howard Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Riggs Howard (Jacksonville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Riggs and Ruth Taylor Riggs Mills; her siblings, Wilma Money and Ronald Riggs; and her grandson Robert Ashley Howard.

She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bobby" Howard of Jacksonville; her children, Robert Carlton Howard (Lisa) of Jacksonville and Vickie Howard Whaley (Forrest) of Richlands; her grandchildren, Kyle Jarman (Jacqui) of Sneads Ferry, Craig Howard (April) of Jacksonville and Kelsey Metts of Richlands; her great grandchildren, Carly, Caroline, Tanner, Brookelynn, Sam and Hannah; and her sister Betty Moss (Bernard) of Jacksonville. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Family Life Center Fund.
