It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David R. Dixon of Jacksonville, North Carolina, who passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ida Dixon; his children, Cleveland Dixon (Katherine) of Greensboro, Margarie Montford of Midway Park and David Dixon, Jr. (Reddie) of Jacksonville; and his siblings, Mary Jones of Jacksonville, Herman Dixon of Jacksonville and James Dixon of Los Angeles, CA. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a host other relatives and friends.
