He is survived by: his wife Grace Harrell Sandy; his daughter Glenda Kirkpatrick (Stephen) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Robert Edward Kirkpatrick (Allie), Christina Kirkpatrick, Kelli Kirkpatrick and Joshua Kirkpatrick (Mariia); his great grandchild Zoe Kirkpatrick; and his siblings, O. D. Sandy, Harold Sandy, Fredrick Sandy, Wayne Sandy (Shirley) and Vicky Taylor.
