He is survived by : his son Eric Thompson (Lisa Rayburn) of Jacksonville, NC; his granddaughter Kayla Meade (Kenneth) of Jacksonville, NC; his brother Gary Thompson (Gail) of Atlanta, GA; his nephew Brian Thompson (Elizabeth); his niece Paige Jackson (Kevin); and his stepchildren, Joey McLaughlin (Tammy) and RaeAnn McLaughlin (Gary). He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
