He is survived by: his wife Doris Oxendine Shepard; his daughter Stephanie Brooks Pierce (Joey) of Maple Hill; his son-in-law Danny Dunn of Jacksonville; his son George Sterling Shepard (Jamie) of Jacksonville; and his sister Maureen Turnage (Edward) of Jacksonville.
