It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Atkinson Fields of Jacksonville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Russell and Arlene Atkinson; her husband Samuel Paul Fields; and her son William P. Fields. She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Ruvio (Stephen) of Jacksonville, Beverly Smith (Jeff) of Jacksonville and Arlene Bulla (Pete) of Jacksonville; her grandchildren, Sammy Fields (Jennifer), Ashlyn Hansley (John), Stephanie Harley (Cameron), Joshua Smith, Kristine Ruvio-Gibbs (Dayshawn), John Bulla (Kara) and Dino Bulla (Amber); and her great grandchildren, John Allen Hansley, IV, Madison Kellum, Marlee Gibbs, Avery Hansley, Reyia Hope Bulla, William Fields II, Roman Bulla and Isabella Harley.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund.
