It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jenny Lou Humphrey of Jacksonville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Banks and Bill Banks; her spouse JD Humphrey; her sister Thelma Ferlenda; and her son-in-law Woody Trott.
She is survived by: her friends, Doris and Jeanette; her children, Deborah Parker (James), Cindy Trott (Randy), Andy Humphrey and Greg Humphrey (Tammy); her grandchildren, David, Angie (Travis), Jessica (Tommy), Jason, Abbie (Steven), Mindy (Daniel) and Scott; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Isabelle, Parker, Aslan, Isla, Scott III, Cameron, Max, Savannah and Madilynn; and her sister Mary Ann Sharpe. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Monday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to White Oak Community Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital, honoring her lifelong devotion to her faith, her community, and her love of children.
