It is with sadness that the passing of Jere William Yost (Jacksonville, North Carolina) is shared. Jere, born on August 11, 1937, passed away on September 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervin Yost and Dorothy Yost; and his siblings, Bruce Yost and Charlotte Moyer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Moyer Yost; his children, Jere Yost, Jr. (Angie) of Cary and Brenda Stanley (Michael) of Clover, VA; and his grandchildren, Derek Wilbur (Alyssa), Dale Stanley (Allicia) and Alicia Scherich (Chris). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Jacksonville (1115 Lejeune Blvd, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
