He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carolyn Mattocks; his children, Roslyn Joyner (Chris) of Jacksonville, NC and Eric Dudley (Valerie) of New Bern, NC; and his sister Doris Williams of Belgrade, NC. He was also cherished by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Saunders Funeral Home (210 Bell Fork Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at the Present Truth Ministries (1511 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Kinston, NC 28501).
