He was predeceased by: his parents, Jinks W. McCumbee and Minnie B. McCumbee of Belmont, NC.; his wife Jean McCumbee; his grandson Gregory McCumbee; and his sons-in-law, Larry Dunsworth and Allen York.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joan Webb of Gastonia, NC and Keith McCumbee (Joyce) of Iron Station, NC.; his children, Kenneth McCumbee (Pam) of Dallas, NC, Wanda McCumbee York Dunsworth of New Bern, NC, Tiffany McCumbee Holder (Lonnie) of Gainsville, GA, Cynthia McCumbee Carter (Douglas) of Jacksonville, NC and Susan McCumbee Landes (Rocky) of Dawsonville Ga; and his grandchildren, Brittany Gazlay (John), Clinton York (Ginny), Calvin York (Tiffany), Ashley Novak (Tony), Richard Carter (Missy), Michael Carter, Christina Smith (Donnie), Amber Melton and Lauren Conrad. He is also survived by 19 Great Grandchildren and many beloved Nieces & Nephews.
