He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Arthur Long and Margaret Long (Roach); and his brother Robert "Bobby" Long. He is survived by: his wife Christine "Chris" Long (Anderson); his children, Kim Bierly (Kevin Burnette) of Jacksonville and Rob Long (Amy) of Parker City, IN.; his grandchildren, Larissa Bierly, Robert Bierly and Brogan Long; and his sister Janet Verzosa (Eduardo) of Bullard, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and beloved friends.
