He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKemey and Amelia McKemey; his wife Delta Gurganus McKemey; and his brother Thomas McKemey. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert McKemey, Kathryn Templeton and Donald McKemey (Josephine); his children, William McKemey, Joseph McKemey and Carol Oakley (Dolan); his grandchildren, Julia Phillips (Scott), Taylor Nealey (Ryan), Elizabeth McKemey and Maxwell McKemey; and his great grandchildren, Marlei Phillips, Cooper Phillips and Delaney Nealey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Tar Landing Baptist Church (3884 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Onslow Memorial Park (3280 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
