She was predeceased by: her parents, Buren Shepard and Dorothy Lewis Shepard; her husband Kenneth C. Thomas; her son Gene Thomas; and her brother David Shepard.
She is survived by: her sons, Toby L. Thomas (Tonya) of Verona and Wayne Thomas (Diane) of Verona; her siblings, James Shepard (Uli) of Goldsboro, Jessie Ottaway (Edsel) of Verona and Edna Branch (J. D.) of Lumberton; and her grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Tiffany Green, Nicole Pierce, Holly Whitlow and Matthew Thomas. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
