It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Chappell Wilson of Jacksonville, North Carolina, born in Hertford, North Carolina, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Katherine shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Katherine farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her mother Leora; her siblings, Irene, Maxine, Seymour and Louis Lee; and her daughter Pamela Wilson (Glen).
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Brinn (late Don), Denise Lawrence (late Jim), Carl Winson (late Cindy) and John Wilson. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Saturday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
